In addition to physical preparation, I have really been mentally and spiritually preparing myself for Thanksgiving. The push to this huge day is about more than the food, more than portion control, more than keeping myself in check. It is about a mindset, a way of living. It's about counting my blessings, and running out of numbers:
I am so thankful to be part of a company that really CARES about people. Not only does Beachbody care about the health of the nation, but it is giving back all month to the hungry through Feed the Hungry. For every challenge pack sold, Beachbody will donate $20 to Feed the Hungry.
I am also extremely thankful for love and laughter, for friends and family. I have truly been blessed with the people who surround me every day. My husband is a prince; my friends are amazing; and my family is truly a gift. I love weekly date nights and Sunday morning breakfasts before church and dinners that leave me laughing so hard that I choke on my water. And then there's my little fur-baby with her kisses and nuzzles.
But most importantly, I'm thankful for a God that cares for me right where I am. He is a God of power and love to break every chain, even those of my own making. I am thankful for scriptures that speak just what I need to hear, when I need to hear it. And I am grateful for a church that consistently challenges and encourages me week after week.
For these things and so much more, I am thankful.
