What a week!
Monday, April 29, 2013Last week was – in a word – unreal. To give you some background: for the last several weeks, I have been preparing a presentation for the positions at our hospital. Without getting too boring for you, let me just say that our hospital is moving into the 21st-century. We are trying to get our physicians to enter their own orders into our electronic health record. This presentation last Wednesday was the first step in getting them into that process. I knew it was going to be intense, so I have been preparing and stressing for weeks. That stress and preparation reached its apex last week; therefore, the rest of my life seemed to be put on hold. My nutrition was horrid. My fitness regimen was basically nonexistent. And my sleep schedule? I averaged approximately 5 to 6 hours of fitful sleep, to the point that my husband was worried for my health. Fun, right? All that to say, I am very glad that the week is over. I am also very glad that this week is brand-new and I get to recommit myself to my health.
Again, I find myself so thankful for Mondays and the new starts that they promise. Which brings me to my plans for this week. My meal plan is done:
