Yes, it's yet another pizza recipe. Can you tell it's my favorite food of all time? HAHA. Seriously, though, I've been experimenting with the If It Fits Your Macros philosophy, and I often have a hard time hitting my protein goal.
What can I say? I'm in love with carbs in all forms!
Imagine my glee to find I could make a pizza crust from PROTEIN POWDER! Bonus? It couldn't be easier!! *squeal*
**Important note:**
Only make enough to eat the same day you make it. The first time I made this, I made extra for the next day. That was a mistake. This pizza does NOT reheat well. You have been warned.
Ingredients (for one personal pizza):
- 1/3 cup fat free greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup flavorless protein powder (I use Quest multi-purpose)
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Toppings as desired (I used part skim mozzarella and turkey pepperoni here)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use a dough hook in either your mixer or your food processor. Add yogurt, protein powder, oil and spices into mixer.
- Run for 5 minutes.
- Once kneaded, shape dough into pizza crust. Place on baking sheet. Bake 5 minutes.
- Flip the crust and bake for another 4 minutes.
- Turn oven down to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Top crust with toppings and bake 6-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
